A long over due thank you to my friends; karoline/chris, wendy/eric, justin/megan, sheA/michelle, don/vicki. Marc and I went to Moab over memorial day with a whole herd of Mud Honeys-friends-families. We had 12 adults and 6 kids under the age of 8 (the youngest being 3 months old)! We set out to ride the White Rim self supported. The short story is that, yes the women DID ride in the 65 mile an hour winds and survived! Yes at one point we had the Toyota pickup truck towing the Sportsmobile through sand. The kids were amazingly good troopers but I think we ALL caught colds! We had wonderful food and weather (post winds) and it was a great time to get out of town and bond with friends in the desert. Thank you to Don and Vicki Wiseman for the shelter! Marc, Chris, Eric, Justin and SheA for your manliness in getting trucks out of sandy situations and knowing when to 'cut the cord' (so to speak)! And thank you Eric Rector and Justin Stevenson for doing most of the driving and babysitting so that the rest of us could enjoy the spectacular views and red dirt on the White Rim. Schafer, you suck. I think next time I will put a bird on it.....
